I booked this restaurant together with my goddaughter for her mother’s retirement party because it’s very well located specially for those who work at the international liberty Newark airport in Newark, nj . Well at the beginning everything was very slow and I even got up and asked for the waiter/ waitress assistance but once the amazing appetizers started coming out I was very delighted. The package we chose included the appetizers ( garlic shrimps, Portuguese sausage, calamari and clams.) Then the choice of the main course was amazing ( paella, paella valenciana, chicken Marsala, steak, salmon) even the dessert choice ( flan, creme brûlée, chocolate mouse, rice pudding) they were all delicious options and great portions. So if you are in Newark, NJ please go and eat there.
Great service and Excellent food, recommend the "Bife a Portuguesa" can't go wrong !!!!!!!!!!! Love it + much more !!!!!!!!
Big plates. Excellent service. Very authentic
Good food. Great company. Makes awesome night.
Great food. Going again tomorrow.
One of my favorite for more than 24 years great food the take out at least 1once a week.
Food is good but it lacks that Portuguese ambiance vibe.
Love their food. Never disappointed!!

Good food, large portions, the ribs are wonderful, the prices are normal to a little high
A wonderful Portuguese restaurant in downtown Newark. Anything from the sea comes highly recommended, and very freshly sourced. A classic, old-school institution in the neighborhood.
Anytime that i am at Newark that,s the place for me for a good Portuguese cuisine i been going there for three years since they took over from Mentiterranian (previous owners not bad).Lovely place with delicious meals and appetizers and a great service and i made a lot of friends there including the manager Tony that knows me only as "the Greek".I recommend this restaurant when you are at Newark for a good home made Portuguese food.
First time and SO disappointed! Both entrees, pork chops and Cod, were over cooked! Pork chops were thin and dry and my broiled cod was dry and hard at the edges and chewy throughout. On top of the bad food, the waitress spilled olive oil on my coat when she was serving the plates! She tried to remove the oil with seltzer, but it didn’t come out. Accidents happen, but there was no attempt to rectify the situation. What an expensive and disappointing lunch. We won’t go again.
Great food...great portions, have not yet had a bad meal.
Excellent food, dessert, and service. My Rotarian friends and I from Rotary Club of Newark, NJ, go there sometimes for a meeting or just to get together for libation. We have always been well taken care of.
I got there at 12:30pm and it took them 2 hours to get my food ready. My family left around 4 PM. The food is definitely not worth 2 hours of wait
The best grilled salmon I have ever had. Can't wait to go back!
Very good service and great ambiance, food and wine are the best in town.
Good food, good service, good prices. Try the grilled octopus.
Food is always good and has great atmosphere there

HORRIFYING experience. As I was eating dinner with my family I found a LIVE cockroach on my plate. If that wasn't traumatizing enough the employee behind the counter was extremely rude and treated us as if it was no big deal, with absolute disdain as the cockroach ran away freely since no one even tried killing it.Please beware of this place. Disgusting, dangerous, absolutely repugnant and revolting. Still in state of shock.Fillng a complaint with the Health Department.
It's the best restaurant ever. The food is really good 😘
The daily specials are absolutely delicious. I have never run out of delicious options. Staff is very friendly and attentive. I always ask for Marcela, who is very attentive. Pricing is incredibly affordable, and it feels like a family place at lunch. Highly recommended.
Service is friendly and the flavors are delicious. But as a Portuguese-American raised in this neighborhood, I find portions are an exaggeration of what an individual can or should eat and the prices have risen to the point that I can't eat a meal without shelling out lots of cash. I think portions should be smaller and prices should be more accessible and I'm sure no one agrees so go ahead and enjoy, I just see how this could be better.
Best Portuguese food I've had so far, attentive staff, very cozy, and parking across the street, very thought out place. They take pride in doing things right and have 3 specials a day that you can see before you oder and a dessert tray see what you're getting and everything at a reasonable price. Marked as a most go experience.
The best Portuguese food and price is very good .
Was highly recommended. Was good, but not greatest
Authentic Portuguese food and fantastic wines. Excellent seafood, meats, and rice dishes Bring your appetite because the portions are quite large. In fact, we took a doggie bag home and had lunch for 2 days. We highly recommend Casa Seabra.
Great food excellent👌
Small, limited free parking but good food at reasonable prices.
cheapest price and best offers
love it. Especially for the meats that are fresh and Spanish products you can get there.
Lots of food but over cooked and eventually served by the innattentive waitstaff.
Excellent food. I always order the chicken platters with the garlic or mushroom sauce.
This place is always so consistent. And to have such a large lunch and wine for 13 bucks just doesn't feel right lol.
My son has his prom there! The place is amAzing! The food was great! Location was perfect! Kids has an awesome night
Very good seafood..dont get the Portuguese steak. Get the regular grilled steak instead.
Great food, and service. Always fun times at this place. recommended.
If you want authentic Portugese food in an elegant but inclusive atmosphere this is your place. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly. Try any of the chef's specials, they are fresh and marvellous.
